On 17th June 2026, the LISS DTP Team hosted the Summer Symposium at King’s College London – an annual celebration of interdisciplinary research in the social sciences.

We are thankful to see the LISS DTP community come together in support of our 3rd Year Research Talks, which showcased an incredible range and quality of research carried out by our current LISS Students. We also extend a huge appreciation to our students for their hard work and efforts in their preparation and delivery of their presentations.

The Symposium also featured a variety of guest speakers and panel discussions, providing our attendees insights to undertaking placements during their PhDs and navigating career paths beyond their PhDs. There was also an opportunity to learn how they can contribute towards a new student-led Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiative in LISS.
