LISS ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowships

The LISS DTP Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDF) offer a unique opportunity for PhD graduates to further their PhD research by both completing the journal papers based on their thesis and communicating the findings of their PhD to a wider, more diverse audience.

Furthermore, the PDF acts as a “bridging fellowship” to prepare PhD graduates for the next stage of their career by enabling them to develop their professional and transferrable skills, further enhance their research training and can develop funding proposals, e.g. for Fellowship schemes. PDFs can also undertake relevant travel abroad and are permitted to teach within the wider purposes of their fellowship. During their Fellowship, PDFs work closely with a mentor they select from one of the LISS DTP insitutions.

Many post-doctoral fellows have successfully obtained faculty positions in academia after completing their PDF.
