Thesis Title: Essays in Macroeconomics and Labour Economics

Abstract: My research agenda focuses on studying how firms and workers interact in the labour market and how these interactions shape aggregate economic outcomes. More specifically, I study the reallocation of employment between firms and between occupations, as well as the channels through which firms adjust their employment after a productivity shock. Finally, I focus on how companies’ strategic location decisions affect aggregate economic outcomes. Overall, my main research interests span macroeconomics and labour economics, with a particular focus on firm productivity and market power.
