Final year PhD student, Gemma McKenzie (King’s College), in December 2021 was awarded a public engagement grant funded by King’s College London and Wellcome, which will enable Gemma to work with the charity AIMS (Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services), an interviewee from her study cohort and an artist (@mklfreeman) to create a graphic zine, exploring issues around consent in maternity care. The zine will be available online in summer 2022 and presented at various comic festivals this year.
