Doctoral Training Workshop: Creative Economy

Overview
A bespoke online training workshop for postgraduate research students in Social Sciences studying at King’s College London, Imperial College London and Queen Mary University of London.
The training is designed to introduce research students to the specific characteristics of businesses and organisations within the creative economy, and to provide examples of successful collaborative research models.
Network: QMUL Centre for the Creative and Cultural Economy, is leading this workshop.
Presentation objectives
- To introduce students to the ecosystem of the creative sector and how it functions.
- To share the experience of Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the creative economy, covering
- organisational purpose or function; who they reach or serve; who they work in partnership with; size; business model and working practices; how they sit in relation to the broader ecosystem, (using videos/ images where appropriate).
- Give examples of previous involvement with collaborative research and/or knowledge exchange, covering
- Methodology; outputs and outcomes; key learnings
